iPhone 6S/iPhone 7 rumors: Apple A9 starts being produced by Samsung

The A8 chip was made ​​by TMSC in Taiwan, but for the A9 chip for next-gen 2015 iPhone (unofficially named iPhone 7 or iPhone 6S) Apple has reportedly opted for Samsung again.

Korean site Electronic Times reports that Samsung has started production of the A9 processor in its Austin plant in Texas, United States.

The chip will be engraved using their 14nm FinFET technology, against 20nm for the current model.

For now, Samsung is expected to provide two thirds of the production of thr A9 SoC for Apple, leaving the rest to TSMC.

An earlier rumor discussed the potential launch of a 4-inch iPhone in 2015.
