Bill Cosby expects ‘black media’ to stay neutral over assault allegations

The scandal surrounding Bill Cosby has come to the point where he isn’t able to ignore it any longer.

The 77-year-old declined to comment on the accusations, but simply wished that the black media would remain impartial as there is no evidence of his guilt for the moment.

“Let me say this,” Cosby said in a phone interview with New York Post. “I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism, and when you do that, you have to go in with a neutral mind.”

He also took the opportunity to praise his wife, Camille, who supports him in his turmoil.

“Love and the strength of womanhood,” he said. “Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love.”

Cosby quickly ended the conversation by explaining that his lawyers advised him not to talk to the press.

New allegations of abuse that have arisen against him lately are affecting his television projects and other shows.
