According to Taiwanese site ePrice, Sony’s next flagship, the Xperia Z4, could get out in two distinct versions and target different markets.
Thus, the basic model would come with a 1080 x 1920 (FHD) display, while the other model, reportedly destined for the US market, would feature a 1440 x 2560 (QHD) display, both on screen measuring 5.2 inches.
A lower resolution for the Xperia Z4 would allow Sony to reduce costs, and also boost battery life at the same time.
The company also aims to make the device completely waterproof, as the micro USB port won’t be protected by a flap cover.
In addition, the new Xperia Z4 could bring an improvement to the front camera and a glossy metal frame on the edges.
The smartphone will reportedly be equipped with a 64-bit 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and an Adreno 430 GPU.
