“Who says I don’t approve of Jennifer Lawrence?” the 42-old actress said. “I respect him as the father of my children and it’s his life and it’s his decision.”

“And I do think he loves the kids so much and I don’t think he’d be with someone who wasn’t great,” she continued. “And if I’m wrong, I’ll come back here and tell you.”

Paltrow also opened up about her relationship with Martin, saying that they have a “really strong friendship.”

“We have kids, we’re always going to be a family,” she added.

The actress also discussed her relationship with the Coldplay frontman in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, and confessed her doubts about their separation.

“We’ve made a lot of mistakes, and we’ve had good days and bad days, but I have to say, I’m proud of us for working through so much stuff together – and not blaming and shaming,” the actress said.

“Of course, there are times when I think it would have been better if we had stayed married, which is always what your children want. But we have been able to solidify this friendship, so that we’re really close,” she added.

Back in March, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin were “consciously uncoupling” after being married for more than a decade.
