The new photos of the smartphone are disclosed on the web by CNET Korea (via Nowhereelse.fr) and they show the Galaxy S6 Edge with curved edges on the sides.
Photographed from all angles, the S6 bears a camera and physical home button that appear to be protruding from the device.
Rumored features of the handset include 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 2600mAh battery and a 20-megapixel camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are expected to be unveiled at the Unpacked event ahead of MWC 2015 on Sunday.
Apple has sent out invitations to the press for a conference to be held Monday, March 9, at the Yerba Bueno Center in Cupertino, California.
Nothing openly suggests what devices will be unveiled but the company is expected to detail the features and pricing of its highly-anticipated smartwatch.
Last year Tim Cook announced that the device will be released in April, so the timing seems right.
The invitations bear the company’s logo, surrounded by a flowery design and marked with the words “Spring forward,” most likely a reference to Daylight Savings Time when clocks are rolled forward an hour.
This event will likely announce pricing for each model, as well pre-order availability.
According to iGen.fr, during his visit to Germany, Tim Cook told an employee at the Kurfürstendamm Apple Store in Berlin that he wears his Apple Watch constantly, ”even in the shower.”
Until now, Apple has said that the smartwatch is only water resistant, not waterproof, so it seems that the company has improved the device’s capabilities.
Regarding battery life, it was previously stated that the Apple Watch will hold a day at full charge.
Cook confirmed this information and told the employees that he charges the device every night.
The launch of the Apple Watch is reportedly set for April, but many details about its specs remain unknown.
According to a report published by The Korea Times, Samsung has signed a contract with Apple and LG to manufacture DRAM chips that will be embedded in the next flagship devices from the two companies.
“Under the agreement, Samsung will start providing LG Electronics with 100 percent mobile DRAM chips it needs for LG G4 smartphone, which will be unveiled in April. Also, Samsung will handle at least half of the amount that Apple needs for its new iPhone ― tentatively named iPhone 6S,” an industry source told the publication.
The report notes that these agreements mean that Samsung will supply at least half of the Dynamic RAM associated with the A9 processor for the iPhone 6S and 100% for the LG G4.
The new 8-Gigabit LPDDR4 chips (1 GB) from Samsung are manufactured based on the 20-nanometer process technology.
They are twice as fast as current LPDDR3 RAM chips and consume 40 percent less power.
