According to recent reports, Jennifer Lawrence had a heated argument with director David O. Russell on the set of their upcoming film Joy.
But in a message posted on her Facebook page, the The Hunger Games star denied rumors that she is at odds with one of her Hollywood friends.
“Hey guys! It’s Jen!” she wrote. “I know I don’t go on here a lot because I can barely work email but there’s been a terrible rumor going around the last 24 hours so I wanted to clear it up.”
“David O. Russell is one of my closest friends and we have an amazing collaborative working relationship. I adore this man and he does not deserve this tabloid malarkey. This movie is going great and I’m having a blast making it!”
Megan Ellison, who is a producer on the movie Joy, also slammed the allegations on Twitter, saying: “The only thing happening on set between David Russell & Jennifer Lawrence is an extraordinary collaboration. One I’m proud to be a part of.”
Lawrence, 24, and Russell, 56, previously collaborated on Silver Linings Playbook, a role that earned her the Oscar for Best Actress, and American Hustle.
