Nick Cannon responds to Mariah Carey cheating rumors

While taking part in a “Plead the Fifth” game on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday, Cannon responded to the cheating allegations that have constantly surrounded him following his split from Carey.

During a 2014 concert the 43-year-old singer changed the lyrics of her song “Don’t Explain” “And I know you cheat / Right or wrong, don’t matter,” to “I know you cheated, motherf—-r”.

“But weren’t (those) the lyrics already?” Cannon asked. “She just added the ‘motherf—-r’ to it.”

“Was I the mother F’er? I have … no. I don’t believe that was about me,” he said, laughing.

The 34-year-old also got the chance to share what he thought of Mariah’s much-criticized 2001 film Glitter and he had nothing but kind words.

“Awesome movie!” he said. “Honest opinion, great movie, even better soundtrack. … We have watched that movie together…I loved it so much before I got married, and she actually doesn’t like it…but I actually really like it.”

As for rumors that he had an affair with Amber Rose, Cannon responded, “[It’s] that she is one of those people that’s just, uh, probably out to just sell herself for the fame. Really, she’s a very intelligent lady that actually has an incredible story that the world will get the opportunity to hear very soon.”

Cannon and Carey were together for six years before separating in summer 2014. The two are parents to twins Monroe and Moroccan, 3.
