Céline Dion breaks down in tears when talking about husband René Angélil’s throat cancer

“He can’t eat so I feed him,” Dion says with tears in her eyes about her husband René Angélil, 73. “He’s got a feeding tube. I have to feed him three times a day.”

The singer, 46, announced back in August that she postponed her Las Vegas residency and she suspended all her projects to devote herself to her family and to take care of her husband.

Angelil underwent a surgery back in December 2013 in order to have a tumor removed from his throat.

Dion, who has three children with her husband, René-Charles, 14, and twins Eddy and Nelson, 4, says she is “scared of losing him, because it’s bad.”

“But I have to show myself, my husband and my kids that I’m strong and we’re okay,” she added to People.

In the same interview, the Canadian singer also spoke about her decision to return to the stage in August in Las Vegas.

“Oh, come on, the fans, they know that I’m an open book,” she told ABC News‘ Deborah Roberts. “I sing. That’s the only thing I know.”

“I’m doing it for him, I’m doing it for my fans, I’m doing it for me,” the singer added.
