iPhone 7 rumors: analysts believes Apple will stick with LCD, not OLED

Since the Apple Watch features an OLED screen, it has been speculated that Apple could use such screens used for future iPhones.

According to J.P. Morgan analyst Narci Chang (via AppleInsider), the Japan Display manufacturing facility founded by Apple could produce around 100 million 5-inch LTPS LCD panels annually.

With such a stock, it seems plausible that Apple isn’t likely to equip its iPhone 7 with an OLED display.

Japan Display is co-financed by Apple who receives in exchange exclusive access to the resources of the new $1.4 billion LTPS LCD plant which will be built in central Japan.
