After undergoing preventive surgery for the removal of her ovaries to avoid the risk of cancer, Angelina Jolie made a her first public appearance at Kids’ Choice Awards on March 28th.
Accompanied by her two daughters Zahara and Shiloh, the 39-year-old actress and director was always smiling.
When their mom won the award, her daughters joyfully jumped to her neck.
“Different is good,” Jolie said during her acceptance speech. “So, don’t fit in. Don’t sit still. Don’t ever try to do less than you are. When somebody tells you you’re different, smile and hold your head up high and be proud. And as you’re villain, I would also say, cause a little trouble. It’s good for you.”
Jolie was also nominated for the award for Favorite Movie Actress, but she lost to Emma Stone for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”
