Kate Middleton royal baby: Charlotte is the new favorite name for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second child

Bookmakers from London revealed that people are betting on Charlotte, a truly beautiful royal name.

Royal ancestors of the baby include Princess Charlotte of Wales, the daughter of King George IV, whose mother’s name was Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.

Late last month a report from bookmakers revealed that Alice was among the favorites, followed by Elizabeth, Charlotte and Victoria.

We came up with an entire name for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second baby.

One possible name is Alexandra Victoria Frances, with Alexandra as a first name after the second name of Queen Elizabeth II, Victoria after Queen Victoria, and Frances inspired by Princess Diana’s middle name.

Diana was the first name choice for the British in a recent poll, followed by Charlotte and Alice.

William and Kate royal baby: if the Duchess of Cambridge gives birth to another boy, what do you think of Arthur James Francis as a name?

For a girl, a name we came up with is Alexandra Victoria Frances (read the explanation for our choice HERE). And now we have thought of a name for a boy if Kate gives birth to another son, namely Arthur James Francis.

Obviously, this is not the official name (the child hasn’t been born, and it isn’t yet certain if it’s a boy or a girl), we only ask if this name would be fit for a future prince.

Arthur is the second name of the Duke of Cambridge, William Arthur Philip Louis, the third name of Prince of Wales, Charles Philip Arthur George, and the name of the mythological King Arthur.

James could be a choice as it is inspired by James VI of Scotland and I of England, and Kate’s brother’s name, James William Middleton.

Francis is a name taken after the Duchess of Cambridge’s father, Michael Francis Middleton, her paternal grandfather, Peter Francis Middleton, and after Princess Diana’s second name, Frances, as well as the name of the great-grandmother of Queen Elizabeth II, Frances Dora Smith (the male version of Frances would be Francis.)

One of the biggest moments of 2011 was when the royal couple married in front of millions of fans.

Today, Kate is expecting their second child after their first son, Prince George, was born on July 22, 2013, and the Duchess is reportedly overdue.

The Telegraph reported recently that Kate’s due date was April 23, so she is expected to give birth anytime now.

It would definitely be wonderful if the royal baby’s date of birth coincides with the anniversary of the royal wedding.

Besides the child’s gender and name, bookmakers are also betting on the day the child will be born.

Rumors claim that Kate Middleton will give birth to a girl.

Does this suggest that the royal couple will have a daughter? Maybe the packets were wrapped in pink ribbons without taking this aspect into account.

Rumors have claimed that Kate will give birth to a daughter. Back in May, the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly visited a baby clothing store, and looked at items for girls.

This month another rumor alleging that Kate and William will have a daughter surfaced when it was reported that an interior design company had sent three shades of pink paint to Anmer Hall: Henrietta.

Kate Middleton royal baby: What will the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge name their second child if it’s a boy?

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s first child came into the world, they chose a fabulous royal name, George Alexander Louis, for their son.

George was the name of Queen Elizabeth II’s father, King George VI. He was also named Alexander after the second name of Queen Elizabeth II, Alexandra, and Louis after his father, William Arthur Philip Louis.

Arthur would be a choice if the royal couple decides to name their son after his father, William Arthur Philip Louis, and after King Arthur, the legendary figure that ran the kingdom of Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table.

James is another variant, inspired by James VI of Scotland and I of England.

In polls Alexander comes first as a choice, after the second name of Queen Elizabeth II, but Prince George of Cambridge already has this name.

Philip would be taken after Prince Charles’ second name, Charles Philip Arthur George, and his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Edward is also on the rumored name list, after Edward VIII, the son of King George V and Queen Mary. He was King of the United Kingdom from 20 January 1936 until 11 December 1936.

Another choice would be Francis, named after Peter Francis Middleton, Kate’s paternal grandfather, and Francis Martineau Lupton, her paternal great great-grandfather.

In case the royal baby is a girl, bookmakers are betting on Frances, after Princess Diana’s middle name Frances, and after the name of the great-grandmother of Queen Elizabeth II, Frances Dora Smith.
