Royal baby name: if it’s a girl, will the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge name her Alexandra Victoria Frances?

The mother of Claude Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne – the Queen Mother’s father – was Frances Dora Smith.

The name of Princess Kate and Price William’s first child is George Alexander Louis. Louis might have been inspired by Caroline Louisa Cavendish-Bentinck, who was the Queen Mother’s maternal grandmother.

Hence, it is possible that the royal baby will also be named Frances. Also Princess Diana’s middle name was Frances.

Queen Victoria is known for having had the longest reign of any other British monarch in history, spanning from 24 May 1819 to 22 January 1901. Queen Victoria’s mother was Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld.

The bookmakers also are betting on Alice, Charlotte, Elizabeth and Diana, if Princess Kate and Prince William have a daughter.

What do you think? Are there any chances that this name (Alexandra Victoria Frances) will be chosen if the royal baby is a baby girl?

UPDATE

The Duke of Cambridge’s full name is William Arthur Philip Louis, so his son, George Alexander Louis, took his name.
