Kate Middleton royal baby: Prince Charles hopes the Duchess of Cambridge gives birth to a girl

When Prince George came into the world in 2013, before his birth, the royal couple expressed their baby gender preferences.

The Duchess wanted a boy, while The Duke hoped it would be a girl.

Will Prince Charles and his older son’s wish be fulfilled this time? We shall see, but until then Prince William’s father opened up about the second royal baby.

“We’re hoping for a granddaughter!” Charles, Prince of Wales told a military veteran on Thursday.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s due date was in April.

While visiting Brookhill Children’s Centre in London’s Woolwich back in March, Kate told a volunteer that she was “due mid-April, to the end of April.”

In October last year Kensington Palace announced in a statement the month when the Duchess of Cambridge would give birth.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2015,” the statement read.

According to The Telegraph, Princess Kate’s due date was on April 23, and if she doesn’t go into labor it could be induced.

We also came up with a name if the royal baby no.2 is a girl: Alexandra Victoria Frances!
