Royal baby: Queen Elizabeth II meets great-granddaughter Princess Charlotte

The BBC posted a photo of the Queen, 89, leaving the Palace after meeting her great-granddaughter for the first time.

The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth on Saturday, May 2, and Queen Elizabeth II was in Yorkshire for a royal engagement at the time.

On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s daughter also met her grandparents, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.

Kate and William named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, after Prince William’s father, Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana.
