Royal baby Princess Charlotte: Prince Charles hoped for a granddaughter, ‘someone to look after me when I am very old’

On Friday, while on his first royal engagement since his granddaughter came into the world on May 2, the Prince, 66, talked proudly about the new arrival in their family.

“I was hoping for a granddaughter – someone to look after me when I am very old,” Prince Charles said.

The little Princess was visited by members of Kate and William’s family, including her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, and Prince Charles came to see her twice before Kate Middleton and Prince William with their children, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, headed to their country estate, Anmer Hall.

And this isn’t the first time the Prince of Wales expresses his desire to have a granddaughter.

Before Kate gave birth, he told a millitary veteran that he was “hoping for a granddaughter.”
