Royal baby: Kate Middleton and Prince William’s daughter received gifts from around the world

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s baby girl is lavished with all kinds of gifts from all over the world, including from the most powerful leaders in the world.

The President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin, posted on his Facebook page a picture with a beautiful little dress, embroidered on top with the message, “From Israel with love”.

The Prime Minister of Australia, Tony Abbott, made an official statement announcing that he will “offer” (kind of) the new Princess a Mountain Pygmy-possum. More specifically, the Government will make a $10,000 donation to the Healesville Sanctuary, that is part of Zoos Victoria, in support of its work for the Mountain Pygmy-possum, in honor of the royal baby’s birth.

“I hope one day the princess can visit Australia and hold a Mountain Pygmy-possum herself,” the Prime Minister said.

The statement also reads that a cot blanket made from Tasmanian merino wool, which will be embroidered with golden wattle (Acacia pycnantha), the official floral emblem of Australia, will be sent to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The royal couple welcomed their second child, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, or Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, on May 2.
