But not everyone got in on the frenzy surrounding the new arrival in the royal familly.
Anna Kendrick stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday, and shared her opinion on the fuss made around Princess Charlotte.
“I don’t know why anybody cares about the royal baby,” she told the host. “It’s a baby. It hasn’t done anything. It hasn’t achieved anything. It was just born.”
“When I was in England, the city had gone crazy. There were all these flags up and there were people baking special cakes at lunch to have in celebration of the royal baby, and I was like, ‘The baby doesn’t know you’re doing that! The baby doesn’t care!'” Kendrick added.
But the little Princess already has superfans! 80-year-old pensioner Terry Hutt had been camped for weeks outside the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital, awaiting the arrival of Kate and William’s second baby.
He missed the birth announcement because he was in the bathroom changing into his Union Jack outfit.
Princess Kate and Prince William welcomed their second child, daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, on May 2.
