Queen Victoria founded the Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order in April 1896, and it is an award given by British kings or queens for services to the monarch. The prince, 30, received this title in a private ceremony which took place at the Palace.
Harry is set to retire from the army this month after ten years of military services.
