Kate Middleton and Prince William’s daughter: Prince Charles talks about granddaughter Princess Charlotte during recent tea party

During the event, organized for World War II veterans and hosted by the royal figure and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, on Tuesday, the Prince of Wales proudly spoke with the guests about his granddaughter.

“He was saying Princess Charlotte does sleep through the night and it was much easier on mum than Prince George,” guest Geoff Bradley said.

That must be a relief for her parents as about three weeks ago the newborn’s overnight sleep wasn’t as smooth as it is now.

“All the girls were asking how Princess Charlotte is and Prince George and whether they keep him up all night,” the captain of England women’s soccer team, Steph Houghton, said after a meeting with William last month.

“He was saying he’s obviously really enjoying being a father and Princess Charlotte is actually keeping him up – and probably why his eyes are looking a little bit tired,” Houghton added.

A month ago, during his first royal engagenent since the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, gave birth to his second grandchild, Prince Charles, 66, expressed his excitement for the newest addition to their family.

“I was hoping for a granddaughter – someone to look after me when I am very old,” the prince said.

Kate and William, who recently released the first official photos of their daughter, Princess Charlotte, will baptize their baby on July 5 at St. Mary Magdalene’s Church.
