Prince William and Kate Middleton’s daughter’s baptism: Princess Charlotte’s christening coin design revealed by The Royal Mint

HRH Duchess of Cambridge

The ceremony will take place on Sunday, July 5, at the Queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, a very special place as Prince William’s late mother Princess Diana was christened there in 1961.

The event is honored by The Royal Mint, who has revealed the design of the little princess’ baptism coin. John Bergdahl, who also designed Prince George’s coin, was the engraver chosen to create the coin.

The Royal Mint reported last month that William and Kate’s daughter’s christening will be marked by the release of a series of new coins.

Charlotte’s christening coin will be available in gold and silver. The inscription on the center of the new coin reads, “To celebrate the christening of Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge 2015.”
