Kate Middleton’s christening style: Duchess of Cambridge dazzled in classic coat dress accessorized with white gold jewelry

The religious service took place on Sunday, July 5, at St. Mary Magdalene Church. The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, dressed her son Prince George, who turns 2 on July 22, in an outfit similar to the one worn by his father Prince William in 1984, when he met his little brother Prince Harry for the first time.

Another detail completing Kate’s throwback style was the vintage Millson pram, previously used by the Queen for her younger children back in the 60s, in which 2-month-old Princess Charlotte was pushed by her mother on the way to the 16th century chapel.

The Duchess, 33, wore an Alexander Mcqueen white coat dress with triangle-shaped collars, similar to the style used by the Queen in the collage below.

The royal mother-of-two accessorised her classic dress with a white Jane Taylor hat and Mappin & Webb jewelry, all matched with nude shoes. Prince William wore a navy suit with a sky blue shirt and a red tie.

Yesterday, the baptism photos taken by famous Peruvian photographer Mario Testino were revealed.

On her wedding day in 2011 the Duchess of Cambridge wore a gown signed by fashion designer Sarah Burton, who is creative director of fashion brand Alexander McQueen. She chose McQueen again for her son Prince George’s christening day.
