Reports claim that the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, and Prince William are going to throw a big birthday party on July 22 for their son’s second anniversary, Kensington Palace hasn’t made any announcement yet.

It is also unknown whether the potential royal bash will take place at Kensington Palace or at their country estate Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where William and Kate are currently settled with their children Princess Charlotte, who will turn 3 months old on August 2, and Prince George.

The prince’s second birthday has already been honored by the Royal Mint with the release of a new coin.

Last year, Prince George’s first birthday was marked with the release of a set of cute photos of the royal family taken at the Sensational Butterflies exhibit at London’s Natural History Museum, where the little prince was simply fascinated by butterflies.

Kate and William also organized a birthday party for him at the Palace where Queen Elizabeth II, Mike and Carole Middleton were among the guests invited.

It was also reported at the time that his grandmother Carole Middleton planned a Peter Rabbit-themed party and hosted it at her home in Bucklebury. But a royal source cited by People said that the claims were “substantially wrong.”

The Duchess’ mother and sister have broad experience in party planning, as Carole Middleton and her husband have been owners of a planning company for more than 25 years, and she is also a contributing editor for Little London magazine where she has written about organizing parties, such as outdoor and Disney bashes.

In 2012 Pippa Middleton launched a party-planning book called Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends.
