Kate Middleton’s reaction to a child named George: ‘Good name!’

During Kate Middleton and Prince William’s visit to the 1851 Trust children’s charity on July 26, whose royal patron is Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, a boy named George had the opportunity to talk with the Duchess.

“One of the young lads asked her a question, and Kate asked him what his name was,” CEO of the 1851 Trust, Alasdair Akass, told People. “He said, ‘George,’ and as quick as a flash, Kate joked, ‘Good name!’ ”

On Sunday at the America’s Cup World Series event in Porsmouth, England, on her first official royal engagement since Princess Charlotte’s birth, Duchess Kate chatted with the kids that attended the event about her passion for sailing.

The Duchess also gave technical details about navigation, “talking about tacking and other different things that you can do with a boat.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge received presents for their children, Princess Charlotte, nearly 3 months old, and Prince George, 2, and they were two BAR shirts with prints of their names on the back.
