Kate Middleton ‘has got amazing hair,’ celebrity hair stylist Nicky Clarke says

During an interview with ITV’s This Morning on Thursday, July 30, Clarke, 57, clarified reports about criticizing the Duchess of Cambridge’s gray hair, and instead praised her hair.

“I didn’t say any of that and I certainly didn’t criticise anybody,” he said (via HELLO! Magazine).

“As far as the Duchess of Cambridge is concerned, there was abolutely no criticism. She really never puts a foot wrong. She’s got amazing hair,” the hairdresser added.

The Duchess, 33, was photographed back in February when she was six months pregnant with Charlotte, and she appeared with a root with a few gray hairs.

She also revealed some stray grey hairs in 2013, after giving birth to her first child, Prince George.

According to Daily Mail, Nicky Clarke said that women shouldn’t let their hair go grey too soon and that the rules are different for men.

“She does have amazing things done to her hair and it can look great, but unfortunately it’s the case for women – all women – that until you get really old, you can’t be seen to have any grey hairs. It’s different for men. Men can go grey in their mid-50s and still be considered attractive. It’s the whole silver fox thing. But it’s not the same for women. Kate is such a style icon that even a few strands of grey would be a disaster, so I highly recommend that she cover it up. I hate grey hair.”

Nicky Clarke was awarded with an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 2008 for three decades of work in the hair styling industry.
