Kate Middleton gets advanced scuba diving certification

While Pippa is more into running, Kate Middleton, 33, seem more attracted to water sports like sailing, and now she has earned an advanced scuba diving certification.

According to The Telegraph, the Duchess obtained the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Advanced Open Water Diver qualification. This certification allows her to dive up to a depth of 98ft.

“Diving is something the Duchess very much enjoys, and the Duke of Cambridge, who is of course President of the BSAC, has said in the past that he is hopeful his children will become interested in the sport,” a spokesperson of the Duchess of Cambridge told the publication.

Her husband, Prince William, 33, who succeeded his father, Prince Charles, as president of the British Sub-Aqua Club last year, is already familiar with this sport, so the Royal couple will likely practice scuba diving together during the following vacations.

The Duke of Cambridge practices scuba during holidays in Mustique where he goes on deep dives to look for sharks, The Telegraph reports.
