Kate Middleton likely to attend first state banquet, the Duchess of Cambridge might wear a tiara

Given the royal protocol, Kate might wear a tiara at the banquet, which is set to take place at Buckingham Palace in October, when China’s president Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan are set to come to the UK. The mom of two wore a Cartier Halo Tiara for her wedding in 2011.

According to The Sunday Times, Prince Charles will receive the president of China and his wife at Horse Guards Parade. Charles, Prince of Wales will be joined by his parents, Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

The presence of the Duchess of Cambridge at the state banquet has not yet been confirmed.

Prince William visited China in March. He was welcomed by president Xi Jinping, with whom he talked about football among other topics.

“I’m looking forward to learning about China’s football,” the Duchess of Cambridge said at the time.
