Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was ‘just wonderful,’ during the annual Fostering Excellence Awards, Holly Willoughby says

The charity event was hosted by The Fostering Network at the British Medical Association House, in London, on Tuesday, November 17.

British TV presenter Holly Willoughby, who was present at the event, shared some details from her meeting with the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, 33, who looked just lovely in a blue Saloni dress.

On This Morning, Holly, 34, recounted to her co-presenter, Phillip Schofield, and to the viewers of the show how nervous she was during her encounter with the royal.

“I got a bit nervous and kept talking! And do you know what I was talking about? This is so me!” she explained. “There was a plate of sandwiches in front of us and nobody wanted to eat as they were all too nervous before [The Duchess of Cambridge] came over, so I said, ‘When are we allowed to start eating? We’re really scared we’re going to get cress in our teeth!'”

Kate, who was five months pregnant with Princess Charlotte when she paid her first visit to the foster care charity, “spent a very long time going around every table talking to people,” Willoughby said.

“Just had a lovely evening hosting the @fosteringnet #TFNAwards thank you to everyone who took part and huge congrats to the winners!” the TV host wrote on Twitter.

She added, “Also had the pleasure of having tea with Duchess of Cambridge @fosteringnet #TFNAwards She was just wonderful!”

The Kensington Palace posted pictures of the Duchess during the event on its official Twitter account.
