Duchess Kate’s hairdresser, Richard Ward, who has taken care of the royal, 33, and her mother, Carole Middleton’s hairstyle for a long time, talked with People magazine about Catherine’s decision to cut her long locks.
“It’s a practical style and a great option for a mom who has had long hair, who has a busy life and is short on time,” Ward said. “It’s slightly more sophisticated but with all the benefits of long hair.”
In September, Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s mother debuted new bangs at the children’s mental health treatment charity Anna Freud Centre.
Celebrity hair stylist Nicky Clarke discussed Kate’s hair back in July, during an interview with ITV’s This Morning, responding to reports that he had criticized the British royal for having grey hair.
“I didn’t say any of that and I certainly didn’t criticize anybody,” Clarke said.
“As far as the Duchess of Cambridge is concerned, there was absolutely no criticism. She really never puts a foot wrong. She’s got amazing hair,” he explained.
Along with hairstylist James Pryce, Richard Ward is responsible for the Duchess of Cambridge’s romantic bridal hairstyle.
Also, Kate is said to have been the inspiration for numerous women calling hairstylists in the delivery room, after sporting a perfect hairstyle hours after she gave birth to her daughter.
