The Queen’s husband, 94, had been Air Commodore-in-Chief for more than six decades before passing his patronage on to his grandson’s wife.
HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, 34, is due to have her first official royal engagement in this new role as the Honorary Air Commandant of the Air Cadet Organization.
“The Duchess will mark the 75th anniversary of @aircadets on Sunday 7th February, on her first official engagement as Honorary Air Commandant,” the Palace announced on Friday, January 22, on its Twitter account.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s mother also continues her advocacy for children’s mental health. The royal is set be guest editor for a day at Huffington Post UK in mid-February, in order to raise awareness around children’s health problems.
