According to The Sun, Kate and William have hired Robin Parker, a cottage garden expert, in order to help them grow their own vegetables.
“He’s helping [the Duchess] become more self-sufficient. She loves cooking stuff she’s grown,” a friend of the royal mother-of-two said, adding, “It’s all a bit like Barbara and Tom in BBC TV comedy The Good Life.”
Last year in November, the Daily Mail reported that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, loves to grow organic vegetables at their country home. The publication also wrote that she is planning to launch an organic food line and that the profit from it would go to charity.
Prince Charles already has his own line of organic food and the profit from the sales is donated to his charities.
The Duchess of Cambridge may count on help from her son George, 2, when gardening, as the little Prince has already helped his grandfather to plant two trees at Prince Charles’ house, Highgrove House, in Gloucestershire.
