The Duchess, née Kate Middleton, has been the Royal Patron of the charity which offers support to Olympians and Paralympians since 2013.

“As Patron, I would like to wish SportsAid a very happy 40th birthday, and offer my best wishes to everyone who has played a part in their success,” the 34-year-old royal said. “Thank you to those who have, and are, supporting SportsAid. Your efforts make a huge difference to thousands of young people and their families.”

The sports-loving Duchess carried out an engagement in 2013 at the Copper Box in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, at the SportsAid Athlete Workshop, where she played volleyball.

The last time Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s mother attended a SportsAid engagement was in 2014.
