Kate Middleton and Prince William visit Taj Mahal during their India-Buthan tour

The Duchess, née Kate Middleton, 34, who wore a white dress with blue embroidery by India designer Naeem Khan, and the Duke of Cambridge, 33, recreated the iconic image from 1992.

“I hope you’ve got the symmetry right, Arthur,” William joked with the Sun’s royal photographer Arthur Edwards, who had been among the journalists taking pictures of Diana in the exact same place 24 years ago.

Kensington Palace shared several photos of the royals touring the Taj Mahal. The Palace also posted a picture of them standing at the same place as Princess Diana during her visit.

Before visiting the Taj Mahal, the Duke and Duchess, who will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary on April 29, were in Buthan where they met “William and Kate of the Himalayas,” King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and his wife Queen Jetsun Pema, who became parents of a baby boy, Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, on February 19.
