The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, sent a birthday message to SportsAid on its 40th anniversary last month.
“As Patron, I would like to wish SportsAid a very happy 40th birthday, and offer my best wishes to everyone who has played a part in their success,” Kate said in the message. “Thank you to those who have, and are, supporting SportsAid. Your efforts make a huge difference to thousands of young people and their families.”
And now the 34-year-old mother-of-two, who has been the Royal Patron of the charity since 2013, will attend a special dinner held at Kensington Palace on June 9.
The Palace announced the event on its official Twitter account on Thursday, May 26.

The aim of the charity is to help Britain’s next generation of Olympians, Paralympians and world champions in dealing with the financial difficulties faced early in their careers.
The last time Catherine carried out an engagement with SportsAid was in 2014.
