On Wednesday, June 22, the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, and her husband Prince William attended a special charity dinner in support of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, who is raising funds for a new hospice, The Nook.
The 34-year-old royal, who has been a Royal Patron of the charity since 2012, was joined by her husband, the Duke, 34, at The Marquess and Marchioness of Cholmondeley, at their home, Houghton Hall, in Norfolk.
While speaking with the chefs during the reception, Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s parents joked about Catherine’s cooking skills.
“William has to put up with my cooking most of the time,” the Duchess told the five Michelin-star chefs. [via People]
“It’s the reason I’m so skinny,” the Duke jokingly replied.
This isn’t the first time that the royal couple proves to have a strong sense of humor. In December, during another charitable event, William teased Kate while making a phone call with a trader at the
ICAP Charity Day that raised money for charity.
“Ask nicely, pretty please, Andrew,” Duchess Kate said, before adding, “Have a very happy Christmas.”
“Catherine, I think you can stop flirting with them now!” the Duke teased his wife. “Sorry, my wife is just embarrassing me!”
Kate also teased William in November during a sporty stepping out in North Wales. The royals carried out a series of royal engagements for the Men’s Shed movement, mental health charity Mind and GISDA which offers support to homeless youngsters.
During their outing, the royals went abseiling at the Towers Residential Outdoor Education Centre in Capel Curig, and the Duchess joked with her husband while holding the rope that supported him as he was rappelling off the ledge.
“William, how much do you love me?” she asked him.
