Kate Middleton to present Art Fund’s Museum of the Year 2016 prize

The Duchess, née Kate Middleton, is set to present the Art Fund’s Museum of the Year 2016 prize at a dinner event held at the National History Museum on July 6. Prince William’s wife became the Royal Patron of the museum on April 19, 2013.

The Kensington Palace announced the 34-year-old royal’s new engagement on its Twitter account on Wednesday, June 22.

In October, the royal mother took George, who turns 3 next month, to London’s Natural History Museum to see the dinosaurs. The little prince, however, was more captivated by the pigeons than the exhibits.

“She said that George was more interested in a pigeon they found there rather than all the amazing exhibits,” Carl Goddard, 10, and his mentor Claire Butler, who talked with the Duchess about George during their visit at the museum, told reporters.

The Duchess studied History of Art at the University of St Andrews.
