According to famed leaker Evan Blass, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus could hit shelves on Friday, September 16th.
Just to clarify, this refers to the retail release, not the launch event. To be even more specific, it should happen on Friday, Sept. 16th.

Blass ventured a prediction on the subject over the weekend, as he tweeted, “iPhone 2016 release: week of September 12th.”
Given the reactions to his tweet, the blogger had to clarify his remarks later in another message that said, “Just to clarify, this refers to the retail release, not the launch event. To be even more specific, it should happen on Friday, Sept. 16th.”
The information seems consistent with previous models launch dates: the iPhone 6S was released on September 25, 2015, while the iPhone 6 arrived in stores on September 19, 2014.
New features for the device include a slightly modified design with more discrete antennas, a larger battery, and at least 32GB of base storage.
An improved camera and optical image stabilization are rumored features of the 4.7-inch model, while the 5.5-inch version is expected to sport a dual-lens camera and 3GB of RAM.
