Kate Middleton and Prince William welcome athletes at Buckingham Palace

On Tuesday night, William, Harry and Kate, along with Queen Elizabeth, hosted a reception in honor of Olympic and Paralympic heroes.

Dressed in an Alexander McQueen floor-length gown, Kate shared a few tidbits about her children while chatting with the guests.

“George is fascinated by fencing, but I think that’s because of the face shields,” Kate told Natasha Baker, equestrian triple gold medalist. [via People] “Charlotte would have loved to be here but she’d be running riot!”

The royals also hosted a party for a special group of young leaders ahead of BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards, which celebrates exceptional achievements among youth.

Radio 1 DJs Nick Grimshaw, Clara Amfo and Greg James were invited into the royal couple’s home where they were congratulated for their work.

This year the teenagers focused their efforts on volunteering and mental health awareness, an area that is known to have been at the center of attention for William, Kate and Harry.
