Kate Middleton comforts mother of autistic teen at Place2Be charity event

On Tuesday, November 22, Kate attended the Place2Be Awards ceremony in London, where she spoke about mental health and presented two honors – the Child Champion and Young Person Champion awards.

On the occasion of this ceremony, Catherine was able to meet the beneficiaries of the association, among whom there was also 13-year-old Ethan, who was diagnosed with Autism.

The teen spoke about the ordeal he went through in primary school and his efforts to educate his classmates about the youth diagnosed with autism.

Touched by the words and courage of her son, Ceri Knapton, Ethan’s mother, couldn’t help bursting into tears.

In an act of compassion, the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton comforted the emotional mother by placing a reassuring arm around her.

“I vowed that I wouldn’t cry but was just overcome listening to Ethan. The Duchess just leaned over and said to me ‘I’ve got to give you a hug as a mum.’ I couldn’t believe it. It was such a kind gesture,” Ceri told reporters.

“I just had to do that as a mum,” Kate said, justifying her kind gesture. [via HELLO!]

The Duchess is particularly involved in raising awareness about mental health issues. She is a patron of the Place2Be association.

Kate Middleton reveals Prince George loves dinosaurs and Princess Charlotte is ‘chatty’

On Tuesday, November 22, the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, resumed her official activities. Catherine visited the Museum of Natural History of London, of which she is a patron, to celebrate the huge replica of a diplodocus nicknamed Dippy.

During the engagement, Kate also attended a children’s tea party where she offered some insights into her children’s tastes.

Prince William’s wife made a particular reference to her son’s preferences for dinosaurs.

“She said George likes the T Rex because he is the biggest and the loudest,” one of the children told reporters. [via People]

“She was asking us if we knew the story of Curious George and how he climbed up on the diplodocus. Everyone did,” another child said.

“We asked her about her home lifestyle and her children. She said that Charlotte is very chatty and likes doing play dates with George. George is interested in dinosaurs and volcanoes.”

Kate isn’t the only one to talk about her children’s personality traits. Her husband also confided about their family life during a recent official visit to Vietnam.

Kate Middleton is ‘an amazing mother and a fantastic wife,’ Prince William says

The Duke of Cambridge recently visited Vietnam to attend the third International Conference on the Illegal Wildlife Trade.

The Prince and the royal family are known to be committed to many causes, including that of the protection of the environment and animals.

In an interview on the Talk Vietnam show on Thursday, William got candid about how he sees fatherhood, and how it has transformed him.

“Well, as the other parents in the room will testify, there’s wonderful highs and there’s wonderful lows,” he said in the interview. “It’s been quite a change for me, personally.”

William also took the chance to praise his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton: “I’m very lucky in the support I have from Catherine. She is an amazing mother and a fantastic wife.”

The 34-year-old royal admitted to having difficulties in raising their children, just like any other parent.

“I have my share of difficult times. Switching from man alone and independent status to that of a married man and then the father is a life changing process,” he confessed.

“George is a right little rascal sometimes, he keeps me on my toes but he’s a sweet boy. And Charlotte, bearing in mind I haven’t had a sister so having a daughter is a very different dynamic. So I’m learning about having a daughter, having a girl in the family.”

He also revealed that despite their position, he and Kate try to raise their children without high expectations: “I think there’s a lot of huge aspirations and people living with an enormous amount of stuff that they don’t necessarily need. The materialism of the world I find quite tricky sometimes.”

The Prince conclude by saying he hopes George and Charlotte will grow “being a little bit more simple in their approach and their outlook and just looking after those around them and treating others as they would like to be treated themselves.”

Prince Harry confirms he is dating Meghan Markle in statement against media harassment

Prince Harry is concerned for the safety of his girlfriend after she’s been subjected to a “wave of abuse and harassment.”

If the 32-year-old is used to being scrutinized by the press since childhood, his girlfriend is much less.

In an official statement released Tuesday, November 8, Kensington Palace confirmed Prince Harry’s relationship with Markle, 35.

Prince William’s younger brother felt obliged to strongly react in this way because, according to him, a red line has been crossed about his relationship with the actress.

The statement reads: “Since he was young, Prince Harry has been very aware of the warmth that has been extended to him by members of the public,” the palace’s statement began. “He feels lucky to have so many people supporting him and knows what a fortunate and privileged life he leads.”

“He is also aware that there is significant curiosity about his private life. He has never been comfortable with this, but he has tried to develop a thick skin about the level of media interest that comes with it. He has rarely taken formal action on the very regular publication of fictional stories that are written about him and he has worked hard to develop a professional relationship with the media, focused on his work and the issues he cares about.”

“But the past week has seen a line crossed. His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment,” the statement continued. “Some of this has been very public—the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments.”

“Some of it has been hidden from the public—the nightly legal battles to keep defamatory stories out of papers; her mother having to struggle past photographers in order to get to her front door; the attempts of reporters and photographers to gain illegal entry to her home and the calls to police that followed; the substantial bribes offered by papers to her ex-boyfriend; the bombardment of nearly every friend, co-worker, and loved one in her life.”

“Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her. It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm.”

“He knows commentators will say this is ‘the price she has to pay’ and that ‘this is all part of the game’. He strongly disagrees. This is not a game—it is her life and his.”

Duchess Kate to be played by actress Charlotte Riley in new TV drama

A TV drama will soon be devoted to the events happening in the British royal palace.

According to the report, the BBC2 drama is a co-production based on the award-winning play King Charles III.

The fictional work speaks of an imaginary future in which Queen Elizabeth II dies and her son Charles becomes king, addressing the relationship of all members of the Royal Family beyond their titles.

British actress Charlotte Riley was the choice for the role of the Duchess of Cambridge.

The 34-year-old is already known to viewers from the serial adaptation of Emily Brontë’s “Wuthering Heights” or from season two of the crime show “Peaky Blinders”. She is also the wife of The Revenant actor Tom Hardy.

“It’s such a unique project. To be both modern and rich in verse and to play someone who is real but yet totally re-imagined for this story is an exciting prospect for an actor,” Riley has said, according to BBC.

“Kate Middleton is a really interesting woman, particularly within the context of this play, and it is a challenge I am really looking forward to.”

King Charles is played by Tim Pigott-Smith, who also played the role in the same play that the film is based on.

Kate Middleton makes surprise visit to Gloucestershire hours after attending movie premiere

Catherine stepped out at the center as part of her campaign that aims to raise awareness around addiction and mental health.

Before arriving at the centre, the royal mom-of-two also made a private visit to a women’s prison in Gloucestershire, HMP Eastwood Park, which offers support to women prisoners and their families.

The visits took place merely hours after she had attended the premiere of the film A street cat named Bob.

Dressed in a Mulberry wool blue coat, the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, wore a Dolce & Gabbana skirt in black and white tweed. She completed her outfit with a black and sober turtleneck and a red poppy-pin.

Kate Middleton stuns on the red carpet at Street Cat Named Bob movie premiere

Catherine attended the premiere of the film as a representative of the organization Action on Addiction, which helps families and children with addiction.

The movie is based on the true story of James Bowen, a man who fought against addiction thanks to the friendship of a stray cat that changed his life.

For the occasion, the royal mom-of-two was sublime on the red carpet in a dress by Self Portrait, a white floor-length gown with a crochet bodice and a skirt split.

The outfit was also decorated with a poppy-pin in memory of fallen soldiers that the country will celebrate in a few days on the Sunday memorial.

Luke Treadaway, the lead actor in the film, and his four-legged partner Bob the cat, who was quietly resting on a velvet cushion, are the stars of the movie.

The latter, as well as his master James Bowen, were present at the premiere and got the chance to meet the Duchess.

Kate Middleton pregnant with third child?

Recently Star magazine reported that the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, is “four months pregnant” with a girl and even claimed to have the information from a “royal source.”

However, on Friday, the magazine doesn’t appear as certain about the pregnancy as a new post on their website bears the title, “Hiding A Baby Bump? Kate Middleton Covers Stomach With Clutch At London Event!”

So, in a matter of days, the tabloid goes from reporting on a new royal baby on the way to wondering whether Kate is pregnant or not.

Back in June the publication claimed that the Duchess was expecting a baby girl and that the Palace had confirmed the news.

Until an official confirmation from the palace, any such rumors about a new royal baby should be taken with a grain of salt.
