Kate Middleton and Prince William arrive in Paris for 2-day tour

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, began a 48-hour official visit to Paris to strengthen the ties between France and Great Britain as their country prepares for its exit from the European Union.

At a reception held at the British Embassy in Paris, the royal couple launched “Les Voisins”, a program designed to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Many celebrities, including Jean Reno, Kristin Scott-Thomas and Audrey Tautou, were invited at the event. Duchess Kate was radiant in an Alexander McQueen black gown paired with ankle strap pumps and pearl jewelry.

On Saturday morning, the couple went to the Invalides to visit the monument, where they were warmly welcomed by soldiers, veterans and schoolchildren. The purpose of their visit was to learn more about the history of the site and how it supports veterans with a rehabilitation program.

The pair then headed to the Stade de France to attend the rugby match between France and Wales, closing the Six Nations Tournament.

This is Prince William’s first visit to the French capital since Princess Diana’s death almost twenty years ago.
