“Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to have found a school where they are confident George will have a happy and successful start to his education,” the palace said.
After a year and a half spent in a Montessori school near the family home in Sandringham, George’s arrival in a London school is an important event.
The school’s headmaster at Thomas’s Battersea, Ben Thomas, said: “We are honoured and delighted that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen Thomas’s Battersea for Prince George. We greatly look forward to welcoming him and all of our new pupils to the school in September.”
This school is different from the one that Princes William and Harry attended. The two brothers went to Wetherby School, which is a stone’s throw from Kensington Palace, in Notting Hills.
Princess Charlotte, who will celebrate her second birthday in May, could soon join her big brother.
