The message, which was recorded during a visit in January to one of the charity’s centers in Quidenham, Norfolk, particularly addressed families of children with terminal illnesses and it marked the beginning of Children’s Hospice Week.
“For any parents, being told that your child may have a life-limiting condition, or may die young, will be one of the most difficult and isolating experiences you can face,” the Duchess says in the PSA. “Having someone to help you come to terms with this news, and the professional support and care that comes with this, can make an enormous difference. It can help families make the most of every precious moment they have together.”
“As patron of EACH, I have seen the incredible difference that children’s hospice and palliative care services can make for children, young people and their families. Across the U.K., more than 49,000 children and young people have life limiting conditions. For these families, having expert care and support is vital, and this is what children’s hospices provide,” she adds. “They deliver first class care in a safe environment that feels as close to home as possible, full of color, warmth, love and support.”
“Today, as we mark the beginning of Children’s Hospice Week, I hope you will join me in shining a light on the dedicated and inspirational staff and volunteers and the lifeline services they provide for children and their families,” she concluded. “The work they do is extraordinary, and it really does make a world of difference.”
The hospice shared the video on Facebook and wrote: “We are delighted to share a personal video message recorded by our Royal Patron HRH The Duchess of Cambridge to celebrate and mark the beginning of Children’s Hospice Week.”
The mother-of-two has been the royal patron of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) since 2012.
OK! magazine reports that the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, is pregnant with royal baby no. 3 and that it’s a girl.
The headlines reads, “It’s Official! Princess Kate Pregnant! George & Charlotte Getting A Baby Sister.”
“Hear ye, hear ye. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have royally exciting news to share: Another baby girl is on the way!” the tabloid alleges.
Kate is said to be 15 weeks pregnant, but according to Gossip Cop, who denies the rumor, there has been no official confirmation from the palace or the royal couple so far.
This isn’t the first time the same tabloid alleges that Kate and William are expecting. Last year in February, they claimed Catherine was pregnant with twin girls and in July it was reported that the Middleton sisters were pregnant at the same time.
Also, in December, they claimed the palace confirmed Middleton was pregnant.
Until an official confirmation from the palace the rumor should be taken with a grain of salt.
After months of rumors, Pippa finally chose to marry in a custom-made dress signed by British designer Giles Deacon.
The gown was a custom-made piece that the bride completed with a thin veil embroidered with pearls, a Robinson Pelham tiara and a pair of satin shoes signed Manolo Blahnik.
Prestigious guests included tennis player Roger Federer and his wife Mirka, Princess Eugenie, and of course Kate and William and their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who served as pageboy and bridesmaid.
Prince Harry arrived with his brother Prince William, and was later joined by his girlfriend, American actress Meghan Markle, at the wedding reception.
Pippa famously caught the world’s attention with her white dress on the day of her sister’s royal wedding in 2011.
Her husband James Matthews is a 41-year-old British former race champion. He is now the executive director of the Eden Rock Capital Management Group in London.
Pippa Middleton chose to organize her nuptials on a private estate, at St Mark’s Church, safe from prying eyes.
Rumors about the dress that will be worn by the bride are going rampant, with bets on designer Giles Deacon after being seen visiting her home with a collection of designs last November.
According to E! News, a source close to Deacon revealed that the design is “very simple, elegant and it’s all handmade,” and that “very few people have seen the finished thing.”
Last month, when asked about the possibility of designing the gown, he told HELLO! Fashion, “I can never really comment on rumors. Until things are confirmed, it’s just rumors.”
The same source informed that the future bride has had her dress taken in five times due to her weight loss over the past six months.
About 150 guests are expected at the event, with guests including Kate and William, Prince Harry, Ben Fogle and Roger Federer, as well as Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle who is only invited to the reception and not to the ceremony.
The trip began with a visit to the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art, where she was accompanied by Grand Duchess Stéphanie and Prime Minister Xavier Bettel.
The royal then joined the Place Clairefontaine in the early afternoon, where hundreds of people were waiting, including Luxembourg’s most famous cyclists. A popular cycling event was organized for the occasion.
Kate was stunning as usual, in a blue coat by Emilia Wickstead and nude shoes.
The visit of the Duchess, née Kate Middleton, in Luxembourg is part of an attempt on the part of the British royal house to maintain close ties with European governments. William and Kate will be traveling together in Germany and Poland in July.
The ceremony will take place on May 20 and St Mark’s Church in Englefield is where the union will be officiated.
According to the UK’s Daily Mirror, about 150 guests are expected at the event, with guests including Kate and William, Prince Harry, Ben Fogle and Roger Federer, and brother James Middleton with girlfriend Donna Air.
Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle will attend the wedding but she is only invited to the reception and not to the ceremony.
Prince George and niece Charlotte will be taking roles of page boy and flower girl.
As far as the maid of honor is concerned, although Kate is expected to return the favor and fill in the role, she may step back in order to sure make sure she doesn’t steal the spotlight on her sister’s big day.
The biggest mystery is who will design the dress of the future Mrs. Matthews. The future bride and her mother Carole have been spotted shopping at top stores in London.
Suzanne Neville, Giles Deacon and Stephen Jones are some of the designer names that have been linked to the event.
As for the reception, the same publication reports that the couple has chosen the Middleton family’s manor in Bucklebury, Berkshire.
An estimated one billion people watched the ceremony as it took place at Westminster Abbey in London.
The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, appeared in a gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress, a hand embroidered gown made of lace and satin which required long hours of work.
Almost a year and a half after their official union, the royal couple announced the arrival of the very first royal baby and it was in July 2013 that the family welcomed little Prince George.
One year later, Kate revealed that she was expecting a second child and gave birth in May 2015 to little Charlotte.
This year the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary. For the occasion, a photo of the two royals from that special day was posted on the Instagram account of Kensington Palace.
“Thank you so much for all the lovely messages wishing The Duke and Duchess a happy sixth wedding anniversary,” the caption read.

The couple also sent individual thank you notes to well-wishers, a photo of the pair from their royal tour of Bhutan last year and a message that read: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are most grateful to you for the message you so kindly took the trouble to send on the occasion of their 6th Wedding Anniversary. It was most thoughtful of you and Their Royal Highnesses send you their warmest thanks and best wishes.”
The couple will definitely draw attention at Pippa Middleton’s nuptials but their presence will be discreet.
Kate Middleton’s younger sister is set to say “I do” to her partner, businessman James Matthews, on May 20, at St Mark’s Little Church in Englefield.
The event may also be an opportunity for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to formalize their relationship by making an official appearance as a couple.
According to People magazine, the Suits actress will be able to attend the reception, but not the ceremony.
Myka Meier, founder and director of Beaumont Etiquette, explained to the publication that unmarried couples shouldn’t attend religious wedding ceremonies.
In addition, the invitations were launched last fall, when the relationship between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was in its infancy.
“I would not be surprised if Prince Harry was not given a plus one, as the wedding guest list would have most likely been made in fall of last year when Prince Harry’s relationship with Meghan was not as public,” Meier said. “I typically recommend if someone is married, engaged, considers themselves to have a serious significant other, or is traveling in for the wedding, they should receive a plus one. Pending how intimate Pippa wants to keep her wedding, she may very well follow the ‘no ring, no bring’ rule.”
And it is Kate Middleton herself, who is teaching her daughter her first words in Spanish, breaking the protocol in the strict education of the British royal family to use governesses at this young age.
“She said she is trying to teach Charlotte Spanish and said her son George can count up to 10 in Spanish already,” the Duchess told Sayanna, a 9-year-old girl from a Vauxhall primary school, during the royal’s recent visit to a farm in Gloucestershire.

It is likely that the two children also learn the language with the help of their Spanish nanny, Maria Teresa Turrión.

According to People, the children gave Kate a toy Paddington Bear and a homemade birthday card to give to her daughter, who celebrated her second birthday on Tuesday.
“She told them that they had a little party for Charlotte yesterday and she sung ‘Happy Birthday’ to herself! It was so sweet,” said Natalie Graham, a teacher at the school. “She loved the card and present and said Charlotte would love it too as the card had Peppa Pig on, which she loves.”
