iPhone 6, iWatch, iPad, MacBook possible releases in Q3

iWatch concept

KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has delivered his forecast for the next product releases by Apple.

He expects the company to release two new iPhones, one equipped with a 4.7-inch display planned for September and a second with a screen of 5.5 inches which would come out in December.

Both models would feature an A8 processor with 1 GB of RAM and the biometric reader Touch ID.

In addition, he believes the iWatch will be available in two models of different sizes, one with a screen of 1.3 inches and the other measuring 1.5 inches.

He even goes as far as claiming that it will be a much more important product than the iPhone.

The watch would feature a sapphire screen, one day autonomy and it could charge wirelessly.

Kuo also believes the Retina MacBook Air will come with a 12-inch screen, a trackpad without click and that it will be thinner than current models.

Cupertino is also expected to introduce a new version of the Retina iPad Mini. He predicts the mini tablet will bring no changes to the exterior and that it would rather be a hardware update.

He predicts the iPad Air 2 will integrate a Touch ID, an A8 processor, and an 8-megapixel camera.

An iMac launch could help increase shipments of the device by up to 23 % and it could be the first product Cupertino launched in 2014.

The analyst believes a 12.9-inch iPad is in the works but it may not be unveiled this year.

Finally, Apple may launch an upgraded set top box with an App Store and motion control functions instead of a full TV set.

Apple could enjoy another success if all these products are indeed launched in the third quarter of 2014 as he expects.

Condoleezza Rice and Aretha Franklin sang together at Philadelphia’s Mann Music Center

It seems that Condoleezza Rice entertained the audience next to Aretha with two of her hit songs at Philadelphia’s Mann Music Center, then playing a selection of Mozart musical pieces.

This event took place in order to raise money for urban children and awareness for music and the arts. In an interview Rice said: “We were just talking and chatting and she said ‘You play, don’t you?’ “And I said, ‘Yes.’ And she said we should do something together.”

Franklin said she had been surprised at how talented Rice was. “All I had seen of Dr Rice was in a political atmosphere. It just seemed foreign that she would be a classical pianist. “She really does play, she’s formidable.”

Rice played piano while Franklin sang I Say A Little Prayer and My Country ‘Tis of Thee.
