Baby SLS in Mercedes-Benz’s Future?

Gordon Wagener, Mercedes-Benz design chief, told the magazine the new car will look as an improved version of the current SLS, and will be released in both coupe and soft-top roadster forms.



Autocar also claims the SSK could use the new 5.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 for the next-generation CLS55 AMG is going to be used on the SLS’s little brother.

Rumor has it that the new engine will produce close to 500 hp, and will likely come with a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle lifted from the SLS. 

The SSK in estimated to see the roads in 2013. Pricing is yet to be decided but it should be close to a Porsche 911, or to the Audi R8.
