Hennessey Venom debuts this March

Americans from Hennessey will unveil later this month the super car that all the fans waited. It’s about Venom, the sportive based on Lotus Elise, which aims to overthrow the rule of the famous Bugatti Veyron.

With only two weeks before its official release, Hennessey sweetens fans waiting with a new teaser that announces a super car of sensation.

Rumors say that Lotus is hiding under the hood a completely new structure and a LS9 engine, made by Corvette, supercharged, that might be able to provide 1,000 horsepower and torque of about 1288 Nm.

There will, however, be some flaws, the unit will be available in 725-horsepower version and 1,200 horsepower.

The V8 engine, mated to a transmission with six reports, is able to propel the car from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.2 seconds.

Acceleration from 0 to 160 km / h is done in less than 5 seconds and sprint from 0-320 km / h is accomplished in just 14.5 seconds. In what concerns the speed, this is meant to be a world record aiming 421 km / h.

To control the power of the super car, Hennessey has installed 15-inch brake discs made from carbon, with six-piston front calipers and 14 inch discs with four piston calipers on the rear. Veyron’s rival will start in the street in the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
