Today Intel announced in a brief press conference the launch of a new series of chips. In January at the Consumer Electronics Show, the American producer will release the first 32-nm chips over the Core i3, i5 and i7 brands.

MacBook Pro is expected to receive the mobile version of these chips (a.k.a. Arrandale). Rumor has it that the new processors will have a frequency of 2.66Ghz, still Intel neither confirmed nor infirmed the information.

The new Hyper Threading and Turbo Boost features of the chips promise they will keep Intel on top of the chip industry. The demo of the chips in several systems presented the graphics capabilities, and the new technologies of the chip.

Starting on January 7th the CES will not be competing this year with Macworld Expo – February 9th-13th- and we can’t wait to see all the new goodies.
