Mercedes’ free GPS for three years

Mercedes-Benz models produced after mid 2010 will have GPS maps that are free for the first three years if customers choose the control multimedia system Comand APS.

The promotion is valid in 39 European countries, and these maps were available only for money so far.

The update procedure is simple, requiring only the connection to a laptop equipped with the diagnostic system to hard disk navigation system in order to download the latest Mercedes-Benz maps.

Those from Mercedes say their navigation system with hard drive is faster than anything equivalent to DVD due to fact that info are read faster by this unit.
