Mercedes are accused of bribery in Egypt


A bulletin issued by the Egyptian prime minister announces an investigation on the bribery of several public sector employees by the German company Daimler.

Egyptian authorities accuses Daimler of the same unorthodox behavior, the justice bodies following to investigate in the next period several cases of bribery.

In a press release issued by the Egyptian prime minister’s office it shows that “Ahmed Nazif, the Premier of the Pharaohs Countries, has decided to instruct the public prosecutor Abdel Meguid Mahmoud, with investigating any bribery attempts of several employees in Egypt, by the car manufacturer Daimler Mercedes-Benz”.
