The pink satin dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in the movie “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” (1953), in the scene in which she interprets the song “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend”, will be put up for auction in June at Los Angeles.

This dress is seen by industry experts as “the most important dress ever worn in a movie.”

Specialists are expecting that the dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in the movie “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” to be acquired for an amount between 140.000 and 240.000 dollars. The scene was later recreated by Madonna in the video song “Material Girl.”
