Queen Elizabeth will be great-grandmother for the first time

Queen Elizabeth is delighted by the announcement that she will be great-grandmother in December. “Peter and Autumn Phillips are pleased to confirm that they will have a baby in December”, reads the official statement.

“Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, as well as Autumn’s family are aware of the news and are very happy”, according dailymail.co.uk. Phillips lives with his wife in Hong Kong where he workes for Royal Bank of Scotland. Peter is the son of Princess Anne.

Mr and Mrs Phillips gave rise to much controversy when they married two years ago for having signed a contract – for £ 500,000 – with Hello magazine for the photos of their ceremony.

The 59-page magazine included pictures of the queen, Prince Philip and Prince Charles.

The deal with Hello magazine was seen as a big mistake by Buckingham Palace. Also pictures of Kate Middleton – girlfriend of Prince William – and Chelsy Davy – Prince Harry girlfriend – were also published and have sparked controversy.
