Spyder 918 will be the most expensive model in the history of Porsche: 500.000 euros

The price of a copy of this Hybrid supercar, Porsche Spyder 918, will be around 500.000 euros, thus making it the most expensive model ever produced by Porsche.

According to information cited by Automotive News, the serial version of the Porsche 918 Spyder concept will become the most expensive road model of the German brand available on the market.

The selling price of this model will be around 500.000 euros, as it surpasses that of Porsche Carrera GT, which was produced between 2003 and 2006 and can be purchased at a price of 450,000 euros.

Porsche 918 Spyder Sport model is a hybrid able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. German model was presented for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show, Porsche officially announcing at that time that its new supercar will be produced only if the number of firm orders will be greater than 1000. The target was not chosen by chance. Is the border after which the German model is a profitable product. So far there are 2000 people who expressed their eager desire to acquire 918 Spyder. So the model is likely to be taken into the Porsche plans, although no information was released on when it will be put on the market.

“Spyder will become the new project that Porsche will use to demonstrate the capabilities to produce a supercar. The model combines German high performance engineering with smart technology,” says Stefan Bratzel, director of the University of Applied Sciences Racing in Bergish-Gladbach, Germany.

ABOUT 918 Spyder

Porsche 918 Spyder can reach speeds up to 320 km/h and is based on a 500-hp V8 engine and four electric motors which provide power autonomy up to 25 km. Being in an environmental-friendly driving conditions, Porsche 918 Spyder can consume only 3 litres/100 km, CO2 emissions are just 70 grams per kilometer.
